Every inch occupied by pilgrims
Human sea was formed in Pamba and Sannidhanam as barely hours remain for the Makaravilaku. Lakhs of devotees from southern states thronged the hill shrine temple occupying each and every inch of available land to have a glimpse of the holy Makaravilakku. Pandithavalam, the spot from where pilgrims could see the Makaravilakku was jampacked. Malikappuram temple, lower thirumuttom, North Nada are the other places where, the pilgrims has occupied.
Rooftop of all the buildings in Sannidhanam are also full with pilgrims. The long que for ‘Darshanam’ extended till Marakoottam today early morning. The situation is almost the same at Pamba also. Police and commandos are finding it hard to control the mob.
An official reception would be given to the Thiruvabaranam procession would be accorded at Saramkuthi at 5.30 eve. The Thiruvabaranom, to be adorned on Lord Ayyappa would be then taken to Sopanam. Thanthri Kandararu Rajivaru and Melsanthi Sasi Namboothiri would receive the Thiruvabaranam in front of the Sreekovil and Deeparadhana would be conducted after adorning Lord Ayyappa with the holy ornaments.
